Great Lake Mountain Tourism and Fishing Camp

By January 22, 2020 No Comments

The Great Lake Fishing Camp resides in a scenic environment by the Great Lake, right on the outskirts of the village Storsjö by the road to Ljungdalen.

Bo Göran Lundh and his colleagues have created a cozy meeting point for the residents of Storsjö and the many tourists that visit it.

Here you will be served breakfast if so wish, and naturally also lunch and dinner. The food is always homemade, and they are renown for they schnitzels, moose steaks, as well as their charfilé that is served with citron mayonnaise, salad and tomatoes. Those looking for a simpler meal, can go for the “snowmobile sandwich” with fried eggs, ham, cheese and falusausage.

The Camp also occasionally organises musical entertainment, including sometimes a music quiz. Regular guest Arne, “Basist Arne”, likes to bring his band with him to entertain even on a regular Friday night, to the delight of both tourists and residents.  The Great Lake Fishing Camp really is a cozy meeting place for residents and tourists.

If you want to know more about fishing, you can get the advice you need. Are you interested to learn about fly fishing and in particular fly binding? Mikael Westerlund is often at the Camp and organises courses in fly binding.

Those who are interested can also participate in guided fishing tours, mainly in the summer. “Fikakorgen” with picnic snacks is obviously brought along as well.

The Fishing Camp is open for the season from January to April, and from June to September.
